Let's Get Certified!

As a Zeta teacher, you are the owner and driver of your certification journey. In order to teach at Zeta, you must become a NY State certified teacher (If you are not one already).

Touro University Trans-B Program Application and Certification Guide

Uncertified Resident Teachers , Uncertified Head Teachers and Uncertified Science Teachers will be enrolling in Touro University’s Trans-B program.

In the meantime, you can get started on other certification deliverables!

Deliverables to Complete Now:​

You will be enrolled in Touro's Trans-B program and need to complete certain pre-requisites for your Trans-B certificate,  which is a temporary certificate that you receive while you complete your master's program. 

  • Take the Educating All Students (EAS) exam, which is required in order to obtain your Trans-B certificate. 

    • The EAS exam is applicable to all certification areas.

  • Take Part 3 ONLY of the CST exam, which is required in order to obtain your Trans-B certificate and is applicable to all certification areas. 

    • Part 1 and Part 2 are specific to a certification track (Birth-Grade 2 or Grades 1-6). You will be notified of your track in the summer. Once you have been assigned a track, you must  take Part 1 and Part 2.
